Purpose
Diagnose and repair boats and engines in a quick and efficient manner in order to maximize our customers’ time on the water. In addition to performing scheduled maintenance, conduct quality checks on work performed and inspect the condition of each unit, reporting any safety or recommended maintenance items to the Service Advisor.

  • Become knowledgeable of our new and used product lines.

  • Keep all work areas, tools, units, and facilities clean and organized.
  • Complete all work tasks assigned as safely and efficiently as possible.
  • Complete all required paperwork or computer/database entries for jobs assigned, making all necessary remarks legible on the repair order, warranty parts, return parts, etc.
  • Inspect the overall condition of each unit and trailer, reporting any safety concerns, recommended maintenance items, and suggestions for unit improvements to the Service Advisor.
  • Perform a quality check of each repair after completion.
  • Maintain dealership tools and equipment to ensure good working order.
  • Listen, Empathize, Add value, and Delight our customers (LEAD)
  • Attend further education; paid training available within our vendor network
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • A passion for boats!
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • A basic understanding of mechanical experience is a plus.
  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience is a plus!
  • Prior RV or boat experience is preferred!
  • Be self-motivated, well organized, and maintain a high attention to detail.
  • Great work ethic with the ability to take direction, learn and deliver excellent results.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Who You Are

What You Will Do:

  • Become knowledgeable of all our product lines, new and used.

  • Work side by side with other team members to learn processes and procedures

  • Perform inspections and quality control on service boats.

  • Using a tractor, efficiently and proactively stage service boats to stay ahead of daily workflow.

  • Assist customers in boat drop off and boat pick up appointments.

  • Safely park all boats in the secured lot, ensuring all boats are properly tagged.

  • Intake new boat deliveries, using forklift to unload boats from trucks (if applicable).

  • Using forklift, unload all other company shipments.

  • Cover/uncover boats, ensuring bow poles are also installed (if applicable), removing drain plugs.

  • Keep all boat parking areas clean and organized.

  • Safely transport boats to/from vendors.

  • Assist technicians with lake testing service boats.

  • During peak seasons, assist with new boat rigging and winterizations.

  • Provide efficient and effective communication to all staff, vendors and customers!

Purpose
This role of Showroom Operations & Sales Associate will have the responsibility to provide each and every guest with exceptionally great customer experiences they share with their family and friends. This can also include follow-up to clients by phone calls, emails, and texting. In addition, this Showroom Operations Associate will have the direct task to oversee all components of our Concierge Center, work directly with the Parts Manager to order/receive boat accessories, and take ownership of routine inventory checks.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in creating and executing a forward-looking, detailed plan for events and time with customers on their lakes that will generate revenue and build the Inland Brand

  • Sell Watersports equipment and continually educate on new products in store

  • Actively engage with customers in order to find solutions that meet their specific watersports needs

  • Ensure that the inventory and sales lot are clean and inviting

  • Ability to be available to customer's calls/emails at all times

  • Ability to work with high net worth individuals

  • Any tasks required by the manager

Purpose 
Work behind the scenes to assist the Service Advisors while communicating with customers whose units are not on-site for service. The purpose is to streamline processes and reduce Service Advisor distractions so that they may spend additional time with each customer whose units are in service.

What You Will Do

  •  Become knowledgeable of our new and used product lines.

  •  Build relationships with customers, vendors, and staff, providing effective communication between all.

  •  Act as the trusted liaison between service customers and advisors.

  •  Maintain a clean DMS system by updating all customer records accordingly.

  •  Listen, Empathize, Add value, and Delight our customers (LEAD).

  •  Answer incoming phone calls, texts, and emails in a professional manner and handle appropriately.

  •  Acquire accurate data from customers for the purpose of writing effective repair orders.

  •  Call and/or email customers to schedule: first service at 10 hours after unit purchase, second service at estimated
    50-hour unit mark, annual service 1-year after the first service, or schedule based on current service promotions.

  •  Perform customer satisfaction surveys by contacting every service customer one week after they have picked up
    their unit from service. Document all surveys following the CSI template and present findings to the Service Director.

  •  Other jobs may be assigned based on seasonality within the industry.
