As a part of our award-winning team, the Finance & Insurance Sales Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating the sale of finance and insurance programs to our clients. This is a relationship-based front-line sales position that demands business creativity and self-discipline to continually develop the department's offerings.

Career Responsibilities

  • Adopt & represent Inland Boat Company’s dedication to customer service, satisfaction, & fun.

  • Present a portfolio of protection packages to all sales clients via menu selling and ensure all sales deal closings
    are finalized efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

  • Operate in conjunction with our product sales team and clients to obtain financing and/or the best options for
    deal funding. This includes participating in sales meetings to gain a better understanding of working potential
    deals and offer closing solutions.

  • Ensure that all finance paperwork is fully compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines prior to submitting
    loan documentation for approval/funding. (DMV title work requires absolute precision)

  • Team members are required to be computer savvy. We operate on a dealer software system, CDK Global
    Lightspeed EVO, and believe in a paperless office environment to avoid mistakes that could leave our team
    vulnerable to a poor customer experience situation.

  • General admin responsibilities can include generating invoices/deposits, multi-state title
    work, e-signature management, process data for new inventory arrivals, loan payoffs, insurance contract
    processing and often cross-training with company Controller & Business Owner.
     

Career Requirements

  • 2+ years of dealership finance experience is required. Prior boat, RV, or auto management experience is a plus.

  • Team player focused on providing world-class customer service, self motivated with the ability to set and achieve
    targeted KPI goals directly with business owners.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal using state-of-the-art technology.

  • Proven track record of positive Customer Satisfaction results.

  • Excellent organization skills that lead to a process-mapping mindset (build and follow through with consistency)

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment

Service Technician Team Member

You are a highly self-motivated, highly organized, detailed and reliable individual looking for the opportunity to work hard and apply yourself as part of a dynamic team. You want to learn and grow, while providing fun and memorable boating experiences for our clients!

What You Will Do

  • Become knowledgeable of all our product lines, new and used

  • Work side by side with other team members to learn processes and procedures

  • Keep work area, tools, units and facilities clean and organized

  • Effectively and efficiently implement work procedures

  • Use supplied iPad tablets, document all customer repair needs on work orders in the form of the 3 C’s (concern, cause and correction)

  • Quality check each repair

  • Return all paperwork, keys, parts and unit to the proper place when finished

  • Assist the Service Advisor to explain work to customers, or gather an explanation of a customer’s concern, when communication is challenged 

  • Listen, Empathize, Add value, and Delight our customers (LEAD)

  • Attend further education; paid training available within our vendor network

Requirements:

  • A passion for boats

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to multitask effectively

  • Be self-motivated, well organized and maintain a high attention to detail

  • Ability to work well alone and with a team

  • Great work ethic with the ability to take direction, learn and deliver excellent results

  • Marine technician experience preferred, but not required

  • Ability to adapt schedule in order to meet the seasonal demands of clients 

  • Must own hand tools; specialty tools are provided by I.B.C.

Salary: Living Wage Base Salary plus Commission

  • Compensation structures built to reward the dedicated and productive team members, with estimated annual total compensation ranging from $40,000 - $70,000

Experienced Marine Detailer

Inland Boat Company is seeking for an experienced and innovative Boat Detailer.

Overview of Duties/Skills:

- Detailer: Reconditioning, detailing, and interior/exterior cleaning of new and used boats and trailers

- Yardhand: transporting & staging boats on property

- Clean & Organize Service Center Daily

- Basic Mechanical Knowledge with ownership of basic tools a plus!

- Completing work to the dealership's high standard of quality

Lot Manager & Transport Specialist

What You Will Do:

• Become knowledgeable of all our product lines, new and used
• Work side by side with other team members to learn processes and procedures
• Efficiently and proactively stage service boats on the schedule for the day.
• Assist customers in unhooking trailer from vehicle. Ensure boat has keys, cover on, plugs removed, trailer tagged.
• Clear boat drop off area and safely park boats in secured lot. Ensure all boats are properly tagged.
• Retrieve customer boats from the secured lot and park in boat pick up spot.
• Act as a shop assistant when not actively moving boats: helping hand, keep shop clean, drain boat covers, etc.
• Actively monitor the lot and keep equipment and lot facilities maintained under direction from Facilities Manager.
• Assist in receiving new boat deliveries, ensuring all required items are included
• Cover/uncover boats, ensuring bow poles are also installed (if applicable), removing drain plugs
• Walk lot and drain covers after rainy days
• Keep all boat parking areas clean and organized
• Perform final quality assurance check on all pre-delivery boats and customer detail boats
• Safely transport boats to/from vendors. Clean driving record is required. No distracted driving.
• Assist in all lake tests as the transporter / second set of hands. Safely help launch boats.
• During peak seasons, assist with new boat rigging and winterizations.

Requirements:

• A passion for boats

ProShop Sales Associate

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in creating and executing a forward looking, detailed plan for events and time with customers on their lakes that will generate revenue and build the Inland Brand
  • Sell Watersports equipment and continually educate on new products in store
  • Actively engage with customers in order to find solutions that meet their specific watersports needs
  • Ensure that the inventory and sales lot are clean and inviting
  • Ability to be available to customers calls/emails at all times
  • Ability to work with high net worth individuals
  • Any tasks required by manager
